In January 2014, engineering staff from Infrastruct AMS used the new Hilti PS-1000 Ground Penetrating Radar system and the Proceq Profometer 5+ to carry out non-destructive concrete testing on a new retaining wall in the Midlands.
In late 2013, Infrastruct AMS completed the refurbishment of Knockyellan Reservoir. The reservoir was constructed a few years earlier but had not entered service and as part of an overall upgrade of the water supply system in the area, the reservoir was to be brought into service to provide additional capacity.
Towards the end of 2013, Infrastruct AMS was requested to carry out cleaning, inspection and chlorination of two drinking water reservoirs on the east coast in accordance with the EPA Advice Note 10 ‘Service Reservoirs Inpection Cleaning and Maintenance’.
During the summer of 2013, Engineers and Technicians from Infrastruct AMS Limited carried out structural testing and material investigations on 14 bridges in Counties Galway, Laois and Kilkenny for the National Roads Authority under their Eirspan bridge management programme. The bridges were mainly single span reinforced concrete bridges (extensions) spanning over the national roads network.
In June 2013, Engineers from Infrastruct AMS Limited carried out a Special Inspection of Beaver Row Footbridge. Beaver Row Footbridge is a two span pedestrian bridge over the River Dodder in Dublin City.
