In April 2013, engineers from Infrastruct AMS carried out testing and investigations of bridges in the West of Ireland as part of the development of a new Wind Park. The works were completed in partnership with a well-known contracting firm.
The works included covermeter surveys to embedded reinforcement and steel beams, ultrasonic thickness measurements on the steel beams, ndt hardness and strength testing on the steel beams, concrete coring for compressive strength of deck concrete and accurate dimensional measurements.
We visually inspected each of the main elements of the bridges including the parapets, the deck and the abutments. Factual reports were prepared for each of the bridges.
