During the summer of 2014, Infrastruct Asset Management Services Limited were appointed to carry out a range of structural testing and investigation services to inform programme-critical decisions and early sign-off of the structural elements being used in a multi-storey building on London Road in Liverpool.
The fact-track construction programme on this project has significant requirements for rapid structural-specific testing and investigations techniques to inform the Design Team of problems as early as possible.
To that end, our engineer on-site is using the following equipment to complete each package of testing works:
- Hilti PS-1000 X-Scan Ground Penetrating Radar system for concrete inspection;
- Proceq L-Type and N-Type Silver Schmidt Rebound Hammers with the mushroom tip (for early age strength assessment);
- Proceq Profometer 5+ covermeter for accurate reinforcement location and cover mapping.
A comprehensive technical report is prepared for the Design Team after every works package is completed.
